VIOLIN SERIES: The F Holes on the Instrument
Yep, that's what they are called. You are looking throught he sound hold or "f hole" of the violing and reading what the violin maker inscribed inside on the interior.
This old fiddle is now around 90 years old and was played on some of the grand cruise ships in New York among other places.
The man who refurbished it for us says it is a valuable violin and has an unusually beautiful sound to it. He added that it needed to be played and not left in a case. Learning to play it myself is on my "bucket list".
