Slugs and Snails & Puppy Dog's tails

I love snail shells and the patterns on them. As a kid I used to collect them in my garden, much to my Dad's distress (they ate all the plants) but in the morning they had all gone.

Weirdly I always felt sorry for slugs as I thought they were just snails that had lost their beautiful shells. Hmmm, only found out about a year ago that this wasn't the case and you know I felt embarrassed cause I really had thought that for all of my childhood.

Love this shot, my MIL and SIL were behind me telling me to hurry up while taking the shot, so not quite the centred shot I was looking for but hey ho. Sometimes the more time you spend, the less good the picture.
