'The Balcony'
'The Balcony' is the newest bar in town. It's lovely - big, wide, open windows that overlook the Wharf. Comfy sofas, high bar stools & tables to admire the view from. Cheap wine & beer, cocktails & jugs of Pimms. Scrummy, yummy burgers & tasty chips.
It only opened a week ago and is rapidly becoming the 'in place'!
Ann popped in on Tuesday to check it out but she didn't take me because she thought it might be too posh for doggies. However, she asked the manager if I would be allowed in. He said as long as I was well behaved, then of course I could come.
This blip shows just how well behaved I am. I immediately lay down under the table (though I did try & gobble up a chip that the people at the next table had dropped) and was able to watch everyone on the Wharf passing by. Then one of the bar staff brought me a whole bowl of water all for myself and I hadn't even asked for it. How good was that?
'The Balcony' is great. Ann says it is going to be our 'new Saturday after work' drinking place. ....................................But sshh don't tell everyone. OK - if St Ives didn't have tourists Ann would be out of a job ............................. but some things have got to be kept secret - hee, hee!
