Geese at Stoney Bay

After our celebrations yesterday, we were all late risers, and missed a wonderful pink sky this morning!.
Still we took a trip across the hills, where there was a little snow at the very top of the hills, and then we dropped down into to Stoney Bay, a place that I had never been to before.
Stony beach, a seal basking, dead blue penquin, fantails, sheep and these geese.
I am not sure of their name, but they took to sea once they saw us.
Had a lovely time exploring, then headed back to Akaroa for some lunch.
Decided to go to the movies, as it had become quite grey - saw 'From Time to Time' - with Maggie Smith. Very interesting and enjoyable.
Wandered around the shops and streets, and then late in the day headed back to Christchurch.
A fantastic girls night away.
