Acorn quash

The garden is growing like crazy now. The very hot sunny days seem to be more productive for vegetables than for me. I was sure that I planted an heirloom cucumber seeds in this spot. We built the trellis for cucumbers. Let's hope it holds up for acorn squash! I'm not complaining. I love these vegetables. Turns out most of the volunteers are acorn squash. That's weird because I didn't grow any last year. Must be seeds put in the compost from some squash we ate.

Tomatoes are volunteering all over the garden, too. I am trying not to control them too much just to see what kind of fruit show up. What an adventure!
