Eastern Colorado

Most people think of mountains when it comes to Colorado. But, just as breath taking are the eastern plains. Although the area is semi-arid, spring brings forth lush green grasses, wildflowers(blackeyed suzannes) as seen in this photo. Also in abundance are antelope, mule deer, rattlesnakes, hawks etc. Perhaps the biggest draw is the lack of towns, shopping malls and traffic. If it's wide open spaces, quiet except for wind and birds singing that one needs for replenishment then eastern Colorado is the place to be.
