Colourful trees!

A day out in Chester, meeting up with my boyfriend who lives in Stoke...kind of the middle of the two of us...although to be honest, I'm not convinced it makes much sense - alas it is a lovely place :-)

Along the river all the trees were wrapped in colourful ribbon...not sure as to why! Managed to take this picture in a brief break from the relentless rain!
