American Bald Eagle

Trip to the zoo this afternoon. As ever Carys is completely besotted with the birds. Therefore first stop: Birds of the World Show. I can't remember the name of this eagle (Carys will tell you) but he is beautiful and watching him fly, especially in the wind today was amazing. The Harris hawks however did not like the wind and Zorro took a huff and decided to retire to a tree and there he remained. The show was aborted as they couldn't bring the parrots out until the hawk was back in the van because as the keeper explained 'the hawks play a lovely game of chase, the parrots however call it Murder!' We waited a good 15mins and Carys was determined to see the parrots, even foregoing the Sealion show, but it wasn't to be. For all we know he could still be up his tree.
