Survival of the Fittest

Out of hundreds of frog spawn which was in our pond this spring, this appears to be the sole survivor. There may be a few others hidden away, but we were thrilled to discover this little fella yesterday! Now if we can only keep him from being eaten by birds, cats, and other various predators. It's amazing to have watched the journey from spawn, to tadpole to frog. Nature is beautiful!
