Question #1: Why do pools of water appear near drains, never quite going down the hole but lurking near the entrance?

Question #2: Do you ever get the urge to kick little leaf dams out of the way to free the flow of the water into the drain?

A man in his car gave me a very quizzical look as I crouched down for my regular series of gutter related shots.

He smiled, I smiled.....

We went our separate ways...

Staff football against another school today.. Competitive urges lacking for this fixture... Fish and Chips in the Dining Hall on Fridays though.. Perhaps a hearty lunch will get me in the mood...?!
