Field Scabious
Going to have to blip and run tonight. The site seems to be chugging along very slowly from here in Rural Bedfordshire - I'll catch up with comments tomorrow!
I was going to post a Gatekeeper Butterfly but it wasn't quite right, I have another nice capture of a Marbled White but I just couldn't do that again. Elstow Brook at Cardington was dredged last year which destroyed most of the brookside meadow. There has been no lasting damage to the grasslands which has recovered really well but dragonfly numbers have been severely reduced. There have been a lot more Butterflies however.
This is part of the meadow that fringes the brook.
