Macaroons

Macaroons were the recipe chosen by my man to use the egg whites from the weekend's ice-cream making. He chose a Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall recipe. Regrettably the recipe did not cater for novice man-knowledge regarding the difference between stiff peaks and floppy ones. The macaroons are very chewy.
