So we decided on Friday that we wanted to go away somewhere for the weekend. At first we thought Manchester but then mathew suggested Liverpool. Neither of us had been before.

after the cricket, we went on the Internet to book somewhere, and found these serviced apartments for little more than the cost of a hotel room (actually a lot cheaper than some hotels). It was really nice and a bit more personal than most hotels. Definitely thinking it's the way forward, especially if a group of people are going away.

Liverpool itself turned out to be amazing. The people we met were all friendly, and the shops looked good. We were right in the heart of the L1 development on a nice sunny day.

We decided To go out for a few quiet drinks, which evolved into us both getting wrecked. We're not hugely into gay clubs etc, but we went round a few and had a right good time :-D
