Fox Talbot - history of the camera
In his former home, Lacock Abbey, there are lots of historical items which tell the story of Fox Talbot, an early pioneer of great photography.

There is also the Oriel Window, the subject of his first photograph

Currently there is an exhibition of the photographs of the playwright, George Bernard Shaw, who was also an eminent and daring photographer in his day

The Abbey itself is well worth a visit
