Gift

Brin and James gave me this beautiful quartz as a gift for helping with their Engagement Party. I love the brilliant purple color.

For those who commented on the sunset and "no smoke", we have tons of smoke still. The sunset was so brilliant because of the smoke lingering in the sky. The fire is currently 30% contained still moving our way with 130,614 acres burned so far. There is another fire East of it. In Colorado there are 2 fires burning North of us in the Valley. It's crazy but I'm thankful we are safe.

The boys (goats) are wheezing a bit today so dosed with Benadryl. Their poor little developing lungs having to deal with this.

One of my Blonde buff orphington hens was dead this morning. Strangely beheaded by the other hens. I thought perhaps something else caused it but there is no evidence of anything other then a fight between her and Pecker. I woke up at 3am to an awful sound in the hen house but went back to sleep. Don't think I could have saved her anyways.
