Busy day!! But one full of smiles and happies. Emma came round to us after breakfast. We had a nice play the three of us, then Abi and Jack came to join us for more playing. We were about to pack them up and go for a walk when the heavens opened with supreme gusto. So that plan went on hold until after snacktime. They were all really good walking out, we got the jobs done, they got their cheese straws, happies all round! We all had lunch together, an indoor picnic again thanks to more rain. The children were all rather excitable but did actually manage eat.

Katie and I took Emma home and before we'd got to Emma's house (not far!) Katie was FAST asleep. Really sound asleep. She stayed asleep as we returned and loaded Abi & Jack into the car to head out.

We went to the garden centre, and I was about to take them all to the soft play and cafe but Katie had recognised where we were. She was desperate to go see the fish first, so we did and she spent ages looking at them all. She pronounced excitedly "big one fish" and it was indeed! They had a nice play in the softplay; Katie likes this one as it has lots of bits that dont involve going down the slide.

We made a quick stop into town and got both children some lovely new books. And lollies in a bid to keep them awake on the journey home. Which combined with a repeat performance of singing, dancing and peepo, was successful. Just. I dont know if Katie's getting a summer cold or hayfever but she's absolutely streaming today with rather a cough. So I'm hoping its just a cold. Anyway, a lot of the day she has played then flopped after not very long. Tired little bunny today!
