Knives and hens

1. Straight to Tramway after work for the the first night of Knives in Hens in Glasgow. There's lots of us there and Helen, Karen and Colin join the table.

2. I love the show. Love it's bravery, it's madness, it's oddness. Love that it takes a serious play very seriously but with a sense of humour. Love how it looks and sounds. Yup. Love it.

3. We stay on after to talk about the play and just talk. We haven't all seen each other in a while - I've been so busy, well, we've all been so busy - that time for friends can take a back seat. I realised that last week and I'm so glad I arranged tonight. It's a problem easy fixed and makes everyone feel better.

4.None of us feel like drinking tonight so we all have tea. These are our very aesthetically pleasing Suki teapots.

5. The talk inevitably turns to supper. Proud of ourselves we walk past the KFC/chicken emporiums and make our own chicken burgers. Lipsmackingly good and fitting that our evening ends with knives in hens.
