praises
Had a crappy day but you know what? I don't want to miss out on the happy things too.
A friend came over to visit for a short moment (HI KELVIN) and I told him I realized whenever he does see me, I'm always in a crappy mood. After he left, I suddenly remembered the speaker at Willow creek, saying he writes a list of praise everyday and it opens up a new perspective of things.
And you know what ELSE? I am NOT going into depression again. God gives us SO much in life, why do we keep looking past them or taking them for granted and keep just opening our eyes to things we don't have or even need? Even simple things like, legs that can support us on long walks, eyes that can see, ears that can hear, food in your kitchen, etc are things God has always provided for us.
So SCREW that crappy part of today. God still managed to get me back safely to my apartment after getting lost traveling; I had food, money, and a fan that's blowing to my face on a hot sweaty summer day. My legs carried me nonetheless and there were so many kind people today that helped me while I was lost.
I thus started a separate happy journal, where in it, I will only write down praises to remind me daily of the things that are already there.
YAY.
