Lael

At the end of a great trip to Ullapool (topped off with a magic fish supper - recommended by Rick Stein, no less), Christine and I took Dimairt for a wee walk at Lael Forest.

The trees were so impressive, and it will be different again in the summer when there is more greenery and more blossoms on some of the shrubs. Who knew that there were so many different pine trees? My favourite is the Giant Redwood, and I learned today that it is also known as the Wellingtonia. The ones at Lael are wee babies in comparison with the ones in North America, but pretty damn impressive nevertheless.

Snow and more snow tonight - magic!!
