The Bodleian Library

I once heard Sandi Toksvig tell a story about some American tourists on a guided tour of Oxford University's Bodleian Library. One of the tourists asks: "Say, this building looks pretty old. Is it pre-war?" And the guide replies: "This building, sir, is pre-America."

Jamie and I arrived too late today to get a place on one of the guided tours but we had a nosey around outside. It's all ridiculously impressive.
