Judgement Day

We're in Cienfuegos, but I feel like I've landed on another planet. Or at least in a different country.

Gone are the ubiquitous smiles that have greeted us at every stop, replaced instead by a kind of grumpy indifference. Our casa owner (a happy, giggling exception to the rule, and possibly the odd sandwich short of a picnic) agreed with Lucy when she mentioned it, telling us the folks here are none too friendly.

Cienfuegos differs from other Cuban cities in that its roots (and therefore its architecture) are French, not Spanish.
It?s sometimes referred to as 'the Paris of Cuba'.

They've certainly got the attitude down
