Stunning weather for an afternoon of Independence Day fun at the Berkeley Marina. In between magic shows and inflatable obstacle courses, the kids played a bit at the amazing Adventure Playground.

As the background shows, the playground "equipment" is built and decorated by kids. It takes some adjustment to get used to the little ones shuttling about with saws, hammers, nails, and paint. You have to sign a waiver to enter (it is still the U.S. after all, even if barely), but it somehow seems to work out. And makes for a magical playground unlike any other I've seen.
