Who am i???

Has anyone an opinion on this little lady? Given to my wife some time ago by an elderly gentleman who wanted to thank her for help she had given to him.
He always said it was one of his pieces that he regarded as of value, She thinks a lot of it but has always been curious of ts origin.
Anyone know please ???????
