Roof Tops

Taken from a different angle these are the roof tops of some of the cottages down our lane, which you can see here.

I love the textures and colours of these old bricks and tiles. The triangular window tops are delightfully unusual.

When did they stop using bricks to make interesting patterns when building houses?
