Fiddler on the Wall
This is a locally well known carved figure of a left-handed fiddler on the local church. The church has a small 12th century arch in the nave and it is presumed that there was a Saxon church on the site that belonged to a local manor house prior to the existing building. The tower arch inside has a 15th-century painted 24 hour clock dial and there are medieval wall paintings, one depicting the seven deadly sins.
