Night is coming

Went out practising with new camera. I can take photographs in the dark now. Had been to Duddingston loch snapping swans, ducks, sunsets etc, and was climbing back up the steps when I looked up. A red van was passing between the lights and the clours were fantastic. Needless to say I missed it, so I stood waiting for another van to pass- didn't happen so I snapped the lights against the darkening sky. Number 2 porty baby got his exams results back today - he passed but not as well as he thought he would - he says they are getting to sit new prelims in march to use as appeals for Highers if necessary. In my day this would not happen. You got one chance and that was it. He thinks the exams were used as a wakeup call to motivate them to study. He needs to get at least 4 B's to get into the uni of his choice next year.But more importantly he wants to get a B in maths so that he can drop it next year.
