Jonathan

Everybody meet my new friend Jonathan Livingston.
I found him on the street last night after work and took him home.
He has a nasty break in his wing so today I spent most of the morning ringing round all the bird sanctuary's I could find. The only one that wont put him down (they specialise in rehabilitation) is a 2+1/2 hour drive away so that's where we're going tomorrow.
For now he has been enjoying himself immensely with his newly discovered love of sardines in tomato sauce.

I know he looks like he's super pissed off, but actually he's been really laid back and not at all nervous. We're not sure if this was a yawn or a request for more sardines. I had just fed him an entire tin!


I know a lot of you will be wildlife lovers also so please rest assured I have spoken at length to 2 different sanctuaries (about diet, handling, water and shelter) and I haven't done anything against the rules or that is not in the best interests of the bird.
