Ghostly Bee

We had a trip out to a garden centre and farm shop - an excuse for a coffee on Sunday - where there is a fantastic ever changing garden from which you can choose your favourites depending on the season and then find them in the nursery. Many of the specimens are quite unusual and we only managed to get a very small version of this Eryngium - "Miss Willmott's Ghost" - it was a fantastic display which attracted the bees. Only had my compact camera with me but had it on aperture priority to capture the bee at work on this prickly character!
