Let's call it 5 minutes

This is an old road sign in Somerset dating from 1920s - so I was told by a chap who happened to be a local historian. He knew his road signs - he even told me where it was made.
Distances are stated to the nearest quarter mile. A quarter mile must have been important when you had to walk it.
Nowadays we seem to measure travel in time rather than distance. That is very telling of the changes in our lifestyles over the last 90 years.
