Happy Birthday Mum!!

This is my Mum and Peggy.

Its her 65th Birthday today. Unfortunately she is in hospital being cared for, as 2 weeks ago today she suffered a stroke.

Her short term memory has been blown apart and her eyesight is not 100%. She says its like seeing things but with holes in it.

It could have been a lot worse. if anything, the day to day stresses of life have lifted from her as she simply doesn't remember things. It was like celebrating her birthday about 20 times today...

Yes she gets upset at how confused she is and when we come in to see her but generally she is fine and improvement has happened already, even in 2 weeks.

A whole new chapter of our lives is about to start and it seems a little scary. But then new things and uncharted territories usually are.

Just glad I can still say "Happy Birthday Mum, I love you. xxx"
