Regeneration

After being ravaged by the May storm that brought Autumn to the woods all along the Cowal coast, this little tree above the beach at Toward is once more coming into leaf, with the new growth pushing out as the withered leaves drop off. The same is happening all along this stretch of coast, and the effect is extraordinary: as if it's early May all over again the trees are light with frothy green rather than the solid heaviness of summer.

I wonder how it will affect them next year ...
