This Date Palm has come back to life after the two devastating hard freezes we suffered last winter. Thousands of palms in town were affected and are now showing new green growth popping from the top.

This isn't the most obvious example of the rebirth of the palms but is representative of what's happening. The old, dead fronds are being replaced with new, bright green live fronds.

The tall palms look like muppets, with shocks of bright green hair popping up on top, surrounded by brown on all sides. By Fall, the tree will be completely healthy again....just waiting for the next hard freeze.
