Wings-N-Wheels
We had our "sort of" annual fly-in at our local airport today. I took over 100 images and had a hard time narrowing them down to one special image for today. I have been thinking about this and decided on a local favorite.
Because we are so dependant on the weather last years show was cancelled because of rain. This year we did not have many aircraft I think because of the economy. A boat owner will tell you that, a boat is a hole in the water for them to throw their money into. Well I can assure you that an aircraft is the same hole in the sky. And in some respects it is greedier then a boat.
This particular image is a Navy N3N military trainer. Nicknamed the "Yellow Peril." It was used by pilots for training prior to and during World War II. I sometimes think that I may have been born 50 years too late.
For the American subscribers I hope you have a glorious 4th of July. For the rest of the world a really great weekend.
