Brothers kayaking

Hard to believe but the ferry from Vancouver to the Gulf Islands is not running today due to mechanical problems! :-( On a holiday weekend!! And our family got up very early to make the early boat!! SO...there were disappointed kids (and adults) on both sides . They had to sail to Victoria and get another boat and should be here soon. (7 hours later...) The boys parents are also coming tonight, but they fortunately were booked on the extra small ferry so that should be OK. We certainly hope.
At least it?s a glorious day- we took a walk this morning, played games, more drawing (yesterday they made wonderful books of drawings of boats) and had some kayaking this afternoon - this is the first time Oskar has been out by himself with his brother - He?s tied with a line to Nik?s boat, for security - I suspect he will figure out he doesn?t need that very soon. I?m in the rowboat with camera, loving it! But they got so tired out that they are NAPPING !! - wonder of wonders-- and H has gone to collect the girls and their parents (we hope!) so I have had the first real moments of peace and quiet in 5 days which I am also loving!!l Grampa did better today, for all those who were concerned! (as long as the reinforcements arrive!)
