Well, The Ant Came Back...
...the very next day.
Well sort of. This was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be and I tried for two days before I nailed this ONE shot. So enjoy.
My plan was to set up and prefocus on a branch and then capture and place an ant on it with the hopes that the little bugger would run into the frame. Here's what I learned:
1) Ants are FAST.
2) They don't like being captured.
3) You can't pick them up with your fingers.
4) Ants are REALLY FAST...
Set-up:
Canon EOS 7D
Canon 10mm f/2.8L macro
36mm Extension Tube
Fern Branch clamped between 2 light stands
Remote release
1/125 @ f/8 ISO 800 8fps
