Smerral in the sunshine

I took a side road off the A9 on my way to Inverness that went through the settlement of Smerral and came out at Lathernwheel. It was delightful - I just love seeing new places and views from different angles. There were many old croft houses that were long deserted all down the valley but happily there were also some new houses that had been built in their place. You can just make out a little bit of the north sea in the far left.

It was a relief to get in the car after all the sorting, cleaning and packing jobs were complete and start my journey. I took several detours to drive by houses that I have appointments to view tomorrow afternoon - think I am now more confused than ever!
