Pretty Peach
I needed cheering up today as a friend asked me over to photograph his dogs this morning.
One of the dogs has only a few days to live and he wanted a shot of them together. The poor thing could hardly get up of the carpet so I spent ages trying to get an indoors shot without using flash or bright lighting , didn't want to hurt his poor old eyes. Then the old dog got up and walked very shakily out into the sun . Got the other dogs out and eventually managed to get a few shots with the whole family and the sick dog managed to lift its weary head. never again I don't think I could ever look through the lens at ssuch sad eyes.
. Then on the way out I looked back and he was still sitting on the blanket looking straight at me through the partly opened gates looking so much better , ears erect and head up. I got some really good shots of him on his own, really pleased as I did manage to do justice to the poor soul.
John brought back some peach and yellow roses this afternoon to cheer me up and I got a shot of one of the roses on the window sill.
Then off course it was back to reality and the usual date with the lawnmower when the sun sines as it did today. Worked all afternoon in the garden , great for working theough all sorts of emotions.
Then a lovely surprise as our daughter phoned to suggest coming over toht and stayin over instead of just coming tomorrow as planned, and that our younger grandson wanted to stay for a few days. The other is going back home tomorrow as he has tennis lessons all next week . The wonders of Wimbeldon ! Still they have really cheered me up as much as the flowers did.
Apologies for not commenting much over the past few days as we have had visitors and off course not much tonight either with the family here. Will catch up with all of you tomorrow night.
Hope you have a good wekend.
