Solomon & Shanelle
I had a rather nice experience this evening on my way home from work. Lost for Blip inspiration, I decided to drive through the town and look for a Blippertunity or two. Graffiti, architecture and more graffiti featured heavily until this couple saw me snapping the City Hall and asked me to take their picture with the BBC Belfast building in the background. Their P&S couldn't cope with fitting both them and the BBC logo at the top of the building, so out came my 10-20mm!
Having fitted both subjects into the picture and getting their email address, I decided to ask them to pose for my Blip, and they kindly obliged. They were very friendly and agreed to stand in the best position for the available light. You can see from the linked shot, a triangle of light to their left. I thought that this light, reflected from a glass building across the street behind me would be useful. I think it worked out OK, but does seem to have had a halo effect on the shot. What do you think?
The BBC Shot.
Solomon is from Carlow, and Shanelle is from Limerick. A lovely couple. I hope they enjoy the rest of their stay in Belfast.
