Statue outside @RoyalOperaHouse

She's called "Young Dancer" and she is the work of Enzo Plazzotta (1921-1981). This was the photo that I most wanted to share with you. She is just outside the main entrance to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

I went to the final dress rehearsal of "Cendrillon" this morning. Joyce DiDonato played the title role of Cinderella and she was superb. I had not heard her voice apart from on CD before. I will be buying more - and I'm very tempted to go again. Terrific, fairytale production, with some of the most spectacular staging I have seen. If you can, get to see it.

I did get to sneak a pic of the curtain call

Cendrillon

and when I got home, look who was in my garden
