Winning Ball

At dinner tonight I told Gina that I hadn't blipped and really didn't know what to shoot and it's already 7:30. I suggested that for times like this I should set up a little studio in the house. At that point she suggested that I photograph the autographed soccer ball that I had won last week at the Hammerheads match. Her motive was twofold - (1) stop thinking about buying any studio equipment, and (2) and primarily get the ball off the chair in the kitchen, where it has been for a week.

So I put it out in the yard, set my camera to F2.8, and snapped two images. This is #2, cropped just a bit to put it off center.

I've been watching most of the Woman's World Cup matches. i was sorry to see Mexico get beaten so badly today by Japan. But Congratulations go to England for coming back and overcoming New Zealand. Here is the theme song for the 2011 World Cup. You have to listen to 1 minute and 40 seconds of vamping until the singing begins. This, to me is 8 minutes of crap. What do you think?
