The dislocated thumb, relocated

Youngest son ran into someone in the playground, their combined momentum conspired to remove his thumb joint from it's socket. Extremely painful for him for a while but his psychedelic experience with gas and air while three medical staff reset it, whilst another three watched, made up for the discomfort. He requested more afterwards and was declined. Then a former car mechanic applied the stookie. Apparently thumbs are complicated things and the prognosis is usually not good, but I think the damage is minimal. We'll know more next week after his orthapeadic appointment.
