Hoochie Coochie Man

Avoiding the more obvious title...

Lunchtime wander from the office and I found myself caught by a couple of t-shirts in a shop window. Saunter in, get seduced by more t-shirts, and chat with the owner. Turns out he does have a boat, which has just had some golden eyes painted on, and is currently in North Queensferry about to go back in the water. It had come all the way from Greece, where the Hoochie Coochie Man had been selling his clothes and jewellery.

Comments suggested he's a trained tailor/designer as well...

Oh, and why the Hoochie Coochie Man? Well that's the name of the shop... Hoochie Coochie Clothing. And because after chatting, asking to take a photo, handing over a Blipfoto business card, and buying the t-shirts, I completely forgot to ask his name.

Dammit.

And the t-shirts? A Star Wars/Abbey Road crossover; and a Transformers 'Robots in Disguise' number. Both of which will likely be blipped at some point.

The portrait, therefore, edges out a continuation of the Art Deco project from a couple of days ago, with shots of Lothian House. Built in 1935 it's a massive Moderne style building; on the site of a canal basin (Port Hopetoun). A hotel within the building was planned, but never completed. There was also a 3000 seater cinema, taken out in 2000, the much less impressive Odeon cinema now in its place. There's even a swimming pool in the basement. It was Category B listed in 1993.

Home, Pimms + BBQ in the garden watching Murray not do it once again (he's a damned fine player, must be to be 4th in the world, but he's just a step behind the top 3). Week done, bring on Saturday. With more Art Deco planned...
