The storms on Tuesday caused a minor amount of chaos and destruction here in the South East with airport delays, train cancellations and a myriad of high profile strikes.

One casualty that didn't receive so much attention was this tree which stands on the recreation ground in Maresfield. Sadly I didn't get too much scale in this picture but what you're looking at is the remaining thirty feet or so of what was once a two-hundered foot Wellingtonia.
