Evie

I walked along the shore at Evie and stopped in the ruins of an iron-age broch overlooking the Sound of Eynhallow to make coffee. I noticed these little wheels there. They are iron, but I don't think they are iron-age!

I was hoping to see the otter I saw here last week but no luck. Lots of birds though and curious seals. I watched an eider duck eat a crab. She held it by the legs and shook till they broke off, grabbing it when it fell to the water. When all legs and claws were gone she swalllowed the body whole. They must have an amazing digestive system.
