Three Hills Challenge
Back blipping from yesterday, our visitors have headed over to Stirling today so I've got some time to relax, particularly after yesterday's exertions.
Our niece and her husband have completed the Three Peaks Challenge, Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike all within a timescale of 24 hours. So yesterday we did our Mid Argyll version going up Tullochgorm , Bellanoch, and Taynish hills . The day was dry with some bright sunshine and a fresh breeze on the hill tops.. We did wait at the Eagle's view at the top of Taynish hill , quite a strenuous climb. Walking along the ridge was well worth the effort as we had an amazing 360 degree view with Knapdale forest and Tayvallich behind, Loch Sween to our right andlots of small islands islands ahead and way over to the left a view of Jura.
We got lots of shots from all three hills but this was my favourite picking out the sandbanks on the River Add with Kilmartin Glen in the background and Jura away in the distance.( More or less certain the faraway mountains are Jura )
