given a good talking to....

had a haircut today....opposite the salon is Whittington Castle, the only castle in the UK owned,restored, manned and managed by the town's inhabitants. I was hoping to blip the cygnets.....but when I came out I saw a nest at the far end of the pond and a coot sitting on it.....

what a surprise it was to see three little ones, really tiny, and the parents swimming on and off...feeding them.....

I took loads of piccies, but this one came out best....even though I took it on my zoom and cropped it heavily, it still is quite reasonable!!!
