ISLE OF ULVA

Eight square miles of Paradise. We crossed over on the tiny passenger ferry, after calling it by exchanging a white board for a red one on the side of a shed. When the ferryman sees the red square he sets off across the water to pick you up.

We had a wonderful walk to the ruined village of Ormaig, seeing Red Deer, White-tailed Eagles, and such perfect views.

But there was no hesitation about which photo to use as today's blip. The Boathouse on Ulva is run by two young girls, the husband of one does the fishing, and 16 people live on the island. Their seafood is out of this world. If you ever go to Mull, please don't miss a visit here!
