Flowers for Emily

Coming back to work after being gone 3 weeks is a bit overwhelming. I haven't been able to get my routine going properly yet. Needless to say I haven't touched the pics from Spain yet. Right now it seems like such a huge undertaking - 2142 pictures to look at and choose the ones that best represent what we've seen.



Report on Emily

What was supposed to be a severe stomach flu yesterday turned out to be appendicitis. She is still in the hospital, recovering from having her appendix removed tonight. She was lucky, it was about to burst. The doctor said she was a rare case of where people have their appendix "hidden" behind the large intestine and he "opened her" on a hunch really. Go figure. Anyhow it is a huge relief, it could have started when we left Nerja on Friday with 3 days of traveling ahead of us. Thank god that apparently it is a useless organ.
