Sing Little Birdie.

Here in Isleworth we have many exotic birds Actually, that's sort of true a we have a flock of parakeets in the area which aren't indigenous to the suburbs of London. This one however is well travelled. From china in fact, and is part of a series of silk pictures my partners parents/grandparents brought back from their time in Shanghai in the first part of the 20th century.

There are a load of chinese characters on a seperate part of it but as neither of us understand a word pictogram of chinese we suspect the words, bird and dahlia/chrysanthemum appear.

This is also the sort of blip you get when you decide you want to do something clever today but run out of time.
