Step back in time...

Having been to Thomas land a few weeks ago and saw not quite real trains, we took C and H to the Bluebell Railway today to see and ride on a real steam train - they loved it, especially when the engine blew its whistle!

Here is a blip that shows our engine approaching the carriages prior to coupling up... It is just amazing to think that this whole place is run be a band of dedicated enthusiasts who seem to be getting older - not too many under 75s knocking around with hand oil cans in their hands, a dirsty rag in their pocket and wearing coal covered overalls!

Recommend it to all - great fun :-)
